About Me

Hi, I am a Postdoc in the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zurich, mentored by Beatrice Acciaio.

Before joining ETH, I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2026, where I was advised by Martin Larsson and Johannes Wiesel. I earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics (double major) at Seoul National University.

I am interested in optimal transport, probability theory, high-dimensional statistics and their applications to mathematical finance and data science. The overarching goal of my research is to develop robust frameworks for high-noise, low-signal environments where no single parametric model can adequately capture the underlying uncertainty. More broadly, my research is guided by themes such as the geometry of stochastic processes, graphical structures of causality and finite-sample guarantees.
